In the span of a single year, the global climate agenda is shifting from unlocking climate finance to protecting the planet’s most vital ecosystems. This session brings together the COP29 Coordinator and COP30 Vice Chair for a timely dialogue on how the outcomes of the Finance COP in Baku will shape the trajectory toward the Nature COP in Belém. Together, they will explore how financial commitments, policy innovations, and multilateral frameworks from COP29 can be translated into bold action for nature, biodiversity, and frontline communities at COP30. With climate finance and nature-based solutions now recognized as interdependent, this session charts the critical path ahead—from capital mobilization to ecosystem restoration, from financial architecture to climate justice.
