As the founder and CEO of Mitigation Strategies, LLC, dba The Southern Wetlands Group, Allen McReynolds has designed strategic wetland restoration projects and native wildlife habitat protection in several important watersheds in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and Arkansas. Based in Dallas, Texas, McReynolds is currently working in the Sulphur River basin of Northeast Texas to design and implement a large-scale wetland restoration and habitat protection project that will benefit numerous northeast Texas counties.  In his role with the Rotary Club of Preston Hollow, McReynolds has been leading a team of volunteers to plant thousands of native trees on public lands, parks, and school grounds to support Rotary Internationals’ environmental sustainability goals established by the Environmentally Sustainable Rotary Action Group (ESRAG).  In addition to his current activities, McReynolds was instrumental in creating new National Wildlife Refuges at Bolsa Chica State Preserve (Huntington Beach, CA), Rancho San Diego National Wildlife Refuge (San Diego, CA), Headwaters Grove Preserve (Humboldt County, CA), Riverside Preserve (Riverside County, CA), Everglades National Park (south Florida), and other locations during his tenure as a Presidential Appointee in the Clinton/Gore Administration.
