Co-founder and CEO of MTX Latam, a global technology consulting company with leading partners like Salesforce, Google, Microsoft and AWS. Founder and Managing Partner of GCR Consultores since 2003 (a consulting firm specialized in direct investment and economic development). Principal Partner for Direct Investment Advisory at JA del Rio (2022-24). Alex has landed over 400 direct investment projects for global companies and has been advisor to Mexico’s ministries of Finance (SHCP) and Economy (SE), seven State Governments and the leading business organizations (CCE, Concamin, Coparmex, etc.). 
Alex was an Operating Partner at Advent International. 
In Government, Alex was the President of the National Entrepreneur’s Institute (Inadem, 2017-18), Interim CEO and Chief Relations and Funding Officer of ProMéxico (2013-2015), and Undersecretary for Economic Development for the State Government of Jalisco (2001- 03). 
Alex was the Mexican Government’s lead negotiator of Investment chapters for the Nafta, G3 (Colombia-Venezuela-MX), OECD’s Multilateral Agreement on Investment, APEC, the Free Trade Agreement of the Americas, and other six Investment Agreements with Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, amongst others. 
Alex has a Juris Doctorate from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon, master degrees from Georgetown Law School and Stanford University, and a post graduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Design Thinking. Currently Alex is a PhD Candidate for Stanford University.
