Alejandro Guerrero Lozano is a distinguished business leader and Mexican public accountant, with MBA (master's degree in senior management and international business), from Mexican universities and also from the University of Wisconsin; recognized for his active role in the industrial sector and his commitment to the economic development of Yucatán.
Earlier this month, ended a period of 3.5 years as President of the National Maquiladora and Export Manufacturing Industry Association (Index) Yucatán, a position from which he has driven multiple initiatives to strengthen the region’s manufacturing sector.
Under his leadership, Index Yucatán has established itself as one of the leading business associations in the region, promoting investment and economic growth. His dedication to the maquiladora industry has been key in positioning Yucatán as an industrial hub in southeastern Mexico. He has also represented the industry at various events and national conventions, highlighting Yucatán’s competitive advantages as an investment and manufacturing destination.
As president of index Yucatan, he led the following exporting sectors: apparel and textile, jewelry, electronics, medical, aerospace, furniture, automotive, agro industry and recently, nautical.
During his role as president of Index Yucatan, he was VP of Index National at the Board of the maquiladora council, where he has been a constant member for more than 25 years.
