Joe D’Cruz is the founder and Managing Director of Catalyze Partners, where he harvests proven intellectual property (IP) and underperforming business units that leverages his team’s expertise to commercialize and launch disruptive/innovative solutions in new markets. Catalyze Partners is the pioneer firm in a new alternative asset class called Corporate Innovation Capital (CIC). The CIC model has been highlighted by the University of California at Berkley as a response and alternative to Venture Capital, which has struggled over the past few years.
He is also a cofounder and board member of Catalyze Partners’ first company, Metro Aerospace – which commercialized fuel-savings and emissions-reduction technology sourced from Lockheed Martin. In addition, D’Cruz serves as CEO and Executive Chairman of Catalyze Partners affiliate Alpine Advanced Materials, a pioneer in lightweight and affordable structural thermoplastic nanocomposites.
D'Cruz is also heavily involved in two Think Tanks in Washington D.C., the Center for Advanced Defense Studies (C4ADS), where, as a Board member, he is involved in supporting the organization’s adoption of technology to advance its capability to identify and locate illicit actors involved in human trafficking, Chinese slave labor, illegal arms trade, money laundering and other nefarious activities. The second is Business Executives for National Security (BENS) where he sits on the implementation working group developing policy for the Great Power Competition (GPC) and Public and Private Partnerships. These committees focus on fueling innovation as it relates to National Security.
