Dr. Taniela Kepa Siose is the Deputy Permanent Representative of Tuvalu to the United Nations. In this role, he represents Tuvalu in key multilateral negotiations, particularly on issues critical to Small Island Developing States (SIDS), such as climate change, ocean governance, and sustainable development.
Dr. Siose has served as Head of Delegation for Tuvalu at various UN conferences, including the Intergovernmental Conference on Marine Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ), where he advocated for equitable and legally binding frameworks to protect ocean ecosystems. 
His diplomatic efforts underscore Tuvalu's commitment to global cooperation in addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainable development.
