Ambassador Ratu Ilisoni Vuidreketi is a seasoned Fijian diplomat and public servant, currently serving as Fiji’s Ambassador to the United States of America and Non-Resident High Commissioner to Canada. He officially presented his credentials to U.S. authorities in early 2024 and to Canada's Governor General, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, in March 2025. 
Ambassador Vuidreketi brings over two decades of senior management experience across national and regional sectors, including trade, tourism, finance, investment, and small and medium enterprise development. From 2010 to 2016, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of the South Pacific Tourism Organization, where he led sustainable tourism initiatives and marketing programs for 16 Pacific Island countries.
As Ambassador to the U.S., Ambassador Vuidreketi focuses on strengthening Fiji's political, economic, trade, investment, cultural, and educational ties with the United States, Canada, and Mexico. He actively engages with the Fijian diaspora and promotes bilateral cooperation on issues such as climate change, sustainable development, and regional security.
