Speaker Bio
As a third-generation Pepsi bottler turned waste-to-energy entrepreneur, Andy Weinstein has spent his career addressing the externalities of his own industry. While working on sustainability initiatives with independent Pepsi bottlers and Fortune 500 companies, he repeatedly saw well-intentioned projects fail because solutions were either mismatched in scale or incompatible with corporate risk tolerance. He founded GODOT to fill this gap: creating solutions that are right-sized for global waste challenges and aligned with the practical needs of stakeholders.
GODOT is a pioneering circular economy company focused on converting industrial, commercial, and agricultural waste into valuable resources such as Modern Coal, clean hydrogen, and food-grade CO2. GODOT aims to redefine waste management practices, promote environmental sustainability, and create tangible economic and ecological benefits for local communities and industries alike. Using existing technologies to build the fuel and the fizz of the beverage industry.
Besides turning local waste into local value, Andy is deeply involved in the community. He is a mentor at Plug N Play Tech Center in Sustainability and mentors multiple startups across the Food, Beverage, Supply Chain and Energy space. Andy has spoken at various conferences or events on Automation (Supply Chain and Human Capital), AI, Sustainability, Energy and Circular Economy. He was a founding member of Next Generation Bottler Network at PepsiCo and the American Beverage Association (ABA) NextGen. He has been a guest lecturer at University of Washington. He is an advisor to Silicon Valley Youth Climate Action.
