Speaker Bio
Scott Massey, a Purdue University Mechanical Engineering Technology graduate, is the CEO and Founder of Anu™, a health and wellness brand revolutionizing Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) with his innovative Rotary Aeroponics® technology to empower communities to sustainably grow Pure Produce®.
Inspired by his EPA- and NASA-funded research, Massey developed a localized produce-growing system that uses seed pod subscriptions to deliver maximum nutrition and flavor while reducing water and power usage. Under his leadership, Anu has transitioned from concept to commercialization, securing critical patents and trademarks that position it as a leader within health and wellness. Recognized by Conexus Indiana, the National Kitchen and Bath Association, and Forbes 30 Under 30, Massey has attracted several million dollars in R&D grants from agencies such as the National Science Foundation and USDA, alongside millions in revenue and venture capital.
His collaborative approach—drawing on advisory tours across the African continent, expertise gained through the U.S. Department of State's Mandela Washington Fellowship, and the integration of NASA engineering with plant science—has been instrumental in advancing Anu’s mission to combat nutrition insecurity globally. This includes impactful projects in some of the world’s most food-insecure regions and contributions to leading Food as Medicine programs focused on addressing critical nutritional needs.
