Ms. Donna Kocak has over 36 years of experience in the engineering field, specializing in marine technologies involving computer vision, robotics, communications and ocean observing systems. As a Principal Fellow at L3Harris, she spearheads the innovation and advancement of emerging and critical technologies. Upon joining in 2008, she led the seafloor development of a cabled observatory offshore Cyprus. Her R&D activities have been diverse, resulting in nine U.S. patents and over 90 publications including two book chapters. Donna has received several awards including the 2012 Space Coast Outstanding Woman Engineer of the Year and the 2023 University of Central Florida Distinguished Computer Science Alumni Award. She served as President of the Marine Technology Society (MTS), and is an MTS Fellow and Senior Member of the IEEE Ocean Engineering Society.
