Austin Taylor joined Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF) in May 2015. Austin is the Program Director for TPWF’s S. Reed Morian Gear Up for Game Wardens program. He serves as the primary liaison between TPWF and the Leadership Council communicating updates, coordinating regional activities by co-chairs, and facilitating fundraising events across the state. Additionally, Austin collaborates with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Law Enforcement staff regarding priority equipment needs, purchases and final delivery of equipment.

Reed Morian Gear Up for Game Wardens ProgramFor more than a century, game wardens have exemplified passion, dedication, and commitment to protecting the residents and natural resources of Texas. This integrated team of professionals is widely recognized as the best-trained corps of conservation officers in the nation. From well-trained helicopter pilots to K-9 teams to sonar-equipped dive teams, they risk their lives to protect others. Texas Game Wardens tirelessly lead the way in critical search and rescue operations, render aid during times of natural disaster, and provide conservation enforcement and education.
Keeping Texas Wild, Texas Parks and Wildlife FoundationWith the help of our donors and partners, TPWF has invested more than $275 million to advance Texas’ proud outdoor traditions and conserve and enhance our lands, waters, and wildlife. For more than 30 years, TPWF has played a leading role in Texas conservation, helping permanently protect more than 215,000 acres (an area larger than some countries) and enhance and expand the Texas State Parks system through land acquisition and the creation of new parks (like Palo Pinto Mountains State Park, opening in 2025). TPWF works to restore and conserve fragile ecosystems, including over 110,000 acres of native grassland habitat and more than 7,100 acres of coastal barrier along Matagorda Peninsula. The work of TPWF benefits Texas’ 30 million residents and future generations of Texans.
