Greg Rock is the Executive Director of 1.5°Climate, a national donor collaborative that has allocated over $30 million to climate philanthropy in its first two years. He is also the Executive Director of Clean & Prosperous America (CaPA), which rapidly directs pooled resources—at no cost—to grassroots organizations engaged in electoral and policy advocacy. In 2020, CaPA piloted the Rural Youth Voter Fund, now a collaborative initiative with the Movement Voter Project and the Rural Democracy Initiative, which has directed $13 million to engage this underserved voter group.
Greg holds a master's degree in sustainable energy engineering and has a background in public energy efficiency. He led the public buildings energy efficiency program at the Washington State Energy Office for three years before joining the executive committee of the nation's first campaign to advance a carbon tax initiative to the people.
Before his policy and political work, Greg founded the Green Car Company, which sold biodiesel-ready vehicles and introduced the first Smart Cars and municipal PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) conversions to the U.S. He has also led multiple transit-oriented infill development projects.
