Matt Tranchin is a global strategist operating at the intersection of governments, capital, and innovation, focused on advancing large-scale solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. He is the Founder and Chairman of Global Resilience Partners, where he architects public-private partnerships that mobilize investment, technology, and policy leadership to accelerate sustainable development and climate resilience worldwide. GRP's flagship event is the Nature Summit —established in partnership with the Government of Panama—designed to connect capital with scalable solutions across climate, biodiversity, and the broader nature-based economy.
He also serves as President of SDG News, a next-generation media platform covering the evolving global order through the lens of the Sustainable Development Goals, with a dedicated readership of senior government officials across more than 180 countries.
Tranchin is also the President of the Island Resilience Partnership, where he leads the Island Resilience Summit, a premier convening advancing public-private partnerships for small island developing states and other frontline communities. The 9th Annual Island Resilience Summit will be held at EarthX 2026 and hosted by Prime Minister Fatafehi Fakafanua from the Kingdom of Tonga, underscoring the platform’s track record, credibility, and staying power as a consistent force in advancing resilience on the global stage.
A former member of the Obama Administration, Tranchin served in the White House Office of Public Engagement, where he led outreach to foundations, nonprofits, and social enterprises.
