Katherine leads the Marine Research Hub (MRH), nonprofit based in South Florida which is building the blue economy through stakeholder engagement and advancing oceanographic research to deliver market-ready solutions. With nearly 20 years of experience in marine science education at New River Middle School and Broward County Public Schools, she has made significant contributions to the growth of the Magnet Program and overall marine education. Katherine holds a Bachelor's degree in Marine Science and a Master's degree in Science Education. She serves on various marine industry councils, is a member of Leadership Broward Class XLIII, and plays a key role on the steering committee for the regional collaborative Risk & Resilience (ClimateReady) Tech Hub.
