Shane Bonnot is the Advocacy Director for Coastal Conservation Association (CCA Texas), working closely with CCA committees, members and staff on interests and policies that are vital to the long term sustainability of our coastal marine resources. As a 6th generation Texan, Shane grew up on the coastal prarie where he developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors and  the flora & fauna therein. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and from Texas A&M Corpus Christi with a Masters of Science in Mariculture. Shane has worked as an oyster hatchery manager for the Virginia Institute of Marine Science and hatchery manager for Texas Parks and Wildlife at Sea Center Texas in Lake Jackson. He has been with CCA Texas since 2016 and has long advocated for conservation of public oyster reefs in Texas.
