Jeremy has spent his 20+ year career in sustainable buildings, infrastructure, policy, and business. Since 2022, he has served as COO at PowerStack, a Texas-based manufacturer of a sleek, durable, and versatile outdoor power supply in self-powered solar poles. In this role, he manages all aspects of the business while enjoying the intersection between sustainable technology aspirations and practical green business practice.
In parallel, Jeremy maintains his sustainability consulting practice, active since 2020. PlanetSigmon serves clients and partners in a collective pursuit of Triple-Bottom Line outcomes for more responsible business, a more prosperous society, and a more restored planet. Jeremy has also served as CEO of Etopia USA. In 2021-2022, he led go-to-market strategy, logistics, business planning, and project execution for the exploratory subsidiary of this innovative UK technology and homebuilding company working to mainstream quality, smart, and high-performance homes.
During his 11-year tenure at the U.S. Green Building Council, Jeremy led government relations and public affairs work to promote and support green building policy in cities and state governments. His broad portfolio included several areas of technical and policy expertise, including energy efficiency, water conservation, green school buildings, community resilience, and building codes and standards.
Prior to joining USGBC, Jeremy was a project manager for altPOWER, Inc., a renewable energy contracting firm based in New York City and London, where he interfaced with building owners, developers, contractors, manufacturers, and code officials and oversaw the installation of over 1.5 MW of photovoltaic projects.
Jeremy serves on the board of the Emerald Cities Collaborative, an organization focused on sustainable, just, and inclusive cities. He also serves in the leadership corps of the Climate Reality Project and is and is Senior Fellow with the Environmental Leadership Program. Jeremy has been recognized for outstanding community service in his Washington, DC neighborhood where he fought for community interests and the deployment of green infrastructure. Jeremy maintains a LEED AP BD+C professional credential. He earned an MSc in water science, policy, and management from the University of Oxford and a BA in political science and French from Washington University in St. Louis.
