Peter Baldwin is the Vice President of Business Development at Harnyss, where he leads initiatives to deploy scalable microgrid solutions integrating solar power, electrostatic energy storage, and on-site hydrogen production. With more than 35 years of experience, he has led technical teams specializing in air quality, water management, hazardous waste, and safety for energy companies worldwide. He is now focused on helping businesses and communities transition to resilient, lower-cost energy alternatives.
Throughout his career, Peter has worked with multinational energy companies, tackling complex environmental and energy challenges across diverse industries. He has held key leadership positions at CH2M Hill and AECOM, managing large-scale projects that addressed sustainability, energy infrastructure, and regulatory strategy.
Recognizing the limitations of lithium-based storage and the need for long-duration, cost-effective solutions, Peter transitioned into renewable energy. At Harnyss, he drives the adoption of microgrids that eliminate the reliance on diesel while providing scalable, sustainable power solutions. His work is particularly impactful for businesses and communities requiring uninterrupted power, such as data centers, mining operations, island nations, and military applications.
Peter collaborates with investors seeking to fund renewable energy projects with long-duration energy storage PPAs for critical operations and communities that require lower prices for 20 years, resilience, and low operating costs. These agreements provide organizations with a predictable, cost-effective path toward energy transition without the burden of upfront capital investment.
Currently completing an Energy MBA at Texas Christian University (TCU) in 2024, Peter combines technical expertise with strategic insight to advance economically viable renewable energy solutions. His work emphasizes practical, scalable deployments that maximize energy resilience while maintaining affordability.
